- ➤ A Baton Rouge woman celebrated her 110th birthday on Monday. Mildred Bowie, a former English teacher originally from New Orleans, shared advice to treat others kindly and marked her milestone with nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren (a testament to her long life in the community). - ➤ Officials started building a mixed-use project behind the IHOP on Harding Boulevard to bring a Harvest Fresh grocery store, shops, and offices to North Baton Rouge and help fix food deserts.
