EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ East Baton Rouge Parish schools are considering expanding start times after a pilot program produced fewer suspensions, improved grades + better attendance. A public meeting is scheduled on Mar. 17 at Belaire High School to gather community feedback. WJBO
- ➤ Knock Knock Children’s Museum in East Baton Rouge Parish is hosting a summer art camp for children to learn and create art + the program features hands-on projects that spark creativity and exploration. WAFB 9

- ➤ Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport held its tri-annual disaster simulation Saturday to test emergency procedures and coordination among responders, hosted by BTR Aircraft and Fire Fighting (a federally required drill). WBRZ

- ➤ LSU lost its regular season finale in triple overtime to Texas A&M after Max Mackinnon missed an open three (the Tigers now stand at 15-16 overall and will begin SEC tournament play on Wednesday, March 11 in Nashville). WBRZ
