- ➤ LSU’s Lighthouse Program held its second annual Believe March on March 25 as students and faculty in matching grey shirts silently marched near Cypress Hall to support sexual assault survivors in advance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. - ➤ Loft18, a Louisiana chain of sports bars, will open its largest location in a 14,000 square feet space that used to be Drago’s near I-10 and College Drive this May. The restaurant will serve TVs, wings, beer + six high-tech simulation bays for games like golf, baseball, basketball and darts while employing about 30 to 40 people. The Advocate

- ➤ Two 15-year-old teens were arrested Thursday by Baton Rouge homicide detectives for a Sunday shooting on Monroe Avenue that killed a 22-year-old man and critically wounded a 21-year-old man around 4:40 p.m.—they were booked into the Juvenile Detection Center on counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and illegal use of a weapon. - ➤ Louisiana's deepwater ports face a tough challenge recapturing container shipping business lost to rivals as a new report from Martin Associates shows that major infrastructure investments and economic development wins are needed.
