- ➤ A multi-vehicle crash on Greenwell Springs Road near Alphonse Forbes Road on Monday afternoon resulted in one death and one injury—troopers confirmed the crash involved two commercial trucks and emergency services transported one victim by AirMed to a local hospital. WVLA

- ➤ Researchers at Tulane and UMass found that in Louisiana petrochemical jobs, people of color hold far fewer top-paying roles and more low-paying positions than expected. - ➤ A black bear was seen wandering near Grace Baptist Church on Monday morning in Zachary after a resident stopped his truck to snap a photo along Highway 19, and police alerted the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. - ➤ A jury in Plaquemines Parish found Chevron liable for $745 million to restore our coastal wetlands, marking the first trial in a series of lawsuits led by attorney John Carmouche—Chevron said it will appeal the verdict.
