- ➤ An altercation between two teachers at LaBelle Aire Head Start on Wednesday at 10 a.m. led to Ashley Daniels—35—being arrested for simple battery while both were placed on administrative leave pending investigations by the Baton Rouge Police Department and City-Parish Human Resources Department. - ➤ Baton Rouge police arrested 19-year-old Joshua Mancusi-Ungaro for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of 40-year-old Kevin Dale Evans, who was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds at a home on Geronimo Street on April 6. WBRZ
- ➤ New Roads police arrested Temika Lashel Butler (41) on Thursday on counts of cruelty to juveniles and indecent behavior with juveniles after investigators looked into her grandson's death from a Monday morning call at a residence on Pennsylvania Street, while her daughter Ke'iondra Butler (19) was booked at Pointe Coupee Detention Center on Monday on charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.
