- ➤ State police are investigating a crash on LA 408 near Governor Claiborne Drive where 72-year-old Patrick Dooley of Baton Rouge was hit by a Toyota Camry and a GMC Yukon while he tried to cross the eastbound lanes—he died at the scene and a child in the Camry suffered minor injuries. WVLA

- ➤ A 40-year-old inmate was found dead in his cell at St. Helena Parish Jail early Saturday, April 19th, after deputies discovered him shortly after midnight and said a medical episode likely caused his death while other agencies assist with the investigation. WBRZ
- ➤ Joshua Brocato, 34, was booked into Tangipahoa Parish Jail on April 17 after his arrest in California on April 4 for allegedly shooting his parents in Amite on April 3 — detectives say he is cooperating with the investigation. WVLA

- ➤ On Good Friday, many locals and visitors waited outside Tony’s Seafood to enjoy a longstanding crawfish tradition—some even drove over two hours to join the celebration.
