- ➤ Two new community pantries were installed in Walker on Friday at Faith Crossing United Methodist Church and Christine Palmer's office along Florida Boulevard by Whole Heart Health. They offered free Manna Meals + snacks to support local individuals and families in need. WBRZ
- ➤ WBRZ’s April Davis will dance at the 18th annual Dancing for Big Buddy fundraiser today at PMAC to support youth mentorship after showing off her moves Friday at Mestizo’s, with voting open at 20 dollars per vote and John Pastorek and Syvia Weatherspoon hosting the event. WBRZ
- ➤ 86-year-old Milburn Guntz, a Baton Rouge veteran who served from 1958 to 1964 — including missions to recover fallen servicemen — was laid to rest on Friday at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary after joining an Honor Flight to Washington earlier this month. WBRZ

- ➤ The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge has announced an upcoming exhibit by K.T. Ho titled A Refugee's Origin, which will explore the refugee experience; event details have not yet been released. WAFB 9

- ➤ BREC officials designated eight parks as obsolete — approving Alexander, Dover, Lanier, Corlett outparcel and Wenonah Street parks for sale, while deferring Belfair, Blueberry Street and Fortune Addition parks amid community opposition.
