- ➤ Residents in southwestern St. Helena Parish returned home on Saturday after a pipeline blowout caused an evacuation along Nesom Road between Pine Grove and Watson — the blast was felt up to 15 miles away and no injuries were reported. WBRZ
- ➤ A dog died in a late-night house fire Friday — displacing two residents in Baton Rouge. WAFB 9

- ➤ The Baton Rouge Symphony will perform during a planetarium show at the La. Art and Science Museum, offering locals a rare blend of music & astronomy. The event is upcoming. WAFB 9
- ➤ LSU’s Military Museum earned a national award from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation for its World War II exhibit 'Tigers in the Pacific' on April 23 (in Baton Rouge).
