- ➤ LSU’s Hearts in Harmony hosted the 'Hanging with Hearts' event at the LSU Parade Grounds on Sunday, Apr. 26 where students met children with disabilities; the event featured yard games, cupcakes, and arts and crafts (designed to foster understanding among participants). LSU Reveille
- ➤ The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office hosted a three-day sensory social at Dick's House of Sport for people on the autism spectrum and their families. The event featured rock climbing, foam and bubbles and showed a welcoming community spirit as officials plan to hold more events. LSU Reveille
- ➤ HOPE Ministries hosted its annual Taste of Hope event Tuesday evening in Baton Rouge with a silent auction & live cooking competition between Mansurs on the Boulevard and Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Cuisine. - ➤ Voters in St. George will decide on May 16 whether to form a new school district that could affect the jobs of about 300 teachers at five public schools.
