- ➤ LSU will host commencement ceremonies for graduating seniors from May 14 to May 16, with most events on May 15 at campus venues like the Student Union Theater and Maddox Fieldhouse (an honors ceremony will be held on May 14). LSU Reveille

- ➤ BREC has narrowed its search for a new superintendent to three candidates + Brooks Williams, Chris Maitre and Daniel Betts will tour facilities and engage in interviews in Baton Rouge during the week of May 4 as local leaders assess the candidates' fit. WBRZ
- ➤ Groom Road in Baker will be closed for two weeks from May 6 to May 20 as the city improves drainage; drivers will be rerouted via Paola Street, Molino Drive, East Myrtle Avenue plus East Myrtle Street to Plank Road, with local access maintained for key spots. The Advocate
