- ➤ Louisiana topped a national education report card with students ranking first in reading growth and second in math growth, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. The report noted rising absenteeism (from 18.8% in 2022 to 22% in 2025) and highlighted improvements in districts like West Baton Rouge Parish. WBRZ

- ➤ LSU Heisman-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels will appear on the third season of Netflix’s Quarterback series with three NFL players when the show airs July 14. Daniels began his LSU career (first under coach Brian Kelly), earned the 2023 Heisman trophy, and was drafted second overall by the Commanders. WBRZ
