EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ West Baton Rouge Parish School District broke ground on a new 3rd through 8th grade facility in Port Allen on Wednesday afternoon, combining Cohn Elementary and Port Allen Middle into one campus (with academic buildings, a library, gym and practice fields) expected to open in 2026. The district also plans to turn Port Allen Middle into an early college academy by 2027 if its timeline remains on track. WBRZ
