- ➤ The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board committee approved a proposal to change school start times for some schools, with elementary classes starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 3:15 p.m. and secondary classes beginning at 8:50 a.m. and finishing at 4:05 p.m.—the plan will go to a board vote with further adjustments in January and a full rollout in August 2026.
