- ➤ More than 63,000 acres of north Louisiana forestland will produce carbon credits over 10 years under an agreement between Arkansas-based NativState and French firm TotalEnergies, which operates locally in Baton Rouge and southwest Louisiana. The deal involves over 280 landowners who will follow long-term sustainable management plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions — a measure that supports growing global demand for carbon offsets despite changes in U.S. climate policy.
