  • Three generations from a Baton Rouge family are working on a Make-A-Wish project to build a covered outdoor play area for Addison, a 9-year-old girl in DeQuincy who uses a wheelchair — they received a permit to start building a 15 by 40 foot concrete slab with an ADA compliant ramp and shade sails. The family plans to begin the project soon and continues a long tradition of helping others in need.  WBRZ

  • LSU freshman running back JT Lindsey turned himself in on Friday afternoon after a warrant was issued on an accessory charge for sheltering two murder suspects at his dorm—his lawyer denied that he knew the men were wanted for murder.  LSU Reveille
  • Louisiana authorities agreed to pay $9 million to Clifton 'Scotty' Dilley after a trooper shot him in the back during a 2018 Baton Rouge traffic stop that left him paralyzed—trooper Kasha Domingue was fired when surveillance video disproved her claim of a Taser misfire.  WVLA
