- ➤ The Louisiana Art & Science Museum will host its centennial gala 'Puttin’ on the Ritz' on Friday, Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at its South River Road location to celebrate 100 years of the museum and honor the historic train depot while raising funds for art and science initiatives—guests are encouraged to wear vintage or cocktail attire—museum officials say. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Keep Louisiana Beautiful announced Wednesday that thirteen parishes received $10,000 each from the Greener Grounds Grants to prevent litter at outdoor events—parishes include East Baton Rouge, Iberville, Pointe Coupee and Tangipahoa.
