- ➤ The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge hosted the Pampered Pooch Dog Fashion Show fundraiser to provide dogs to individuals with autism and rehome rescue dogs across the capital area. WBRZ
- ➤ Zachary hosted its annual Christmas parade Saturday afternoon, where over 50 groups featured floats, dancers, and cheerleaders celebrating the Christmas Movie Spectacular theme. The festivities also included the first Annual Bayou Black Pot Cook-Off hosted by Downtown Live, which brought families together. WBRZ
- ➤ One Denham Springs woman, Molly Schuetz, will deliver care stockings to Golden Age Nursing Home on Dec. 19 to bring holiday cheer to its residents. Her personal tradition began during the pandemic and is supported at $20 plus each donation as participation has slowed over the years. WBRZ
- ➤ Baker hosted its annual Bicycle & Toy Giveaway on Saturday, donating over 125 bicycles and toys from nearly 50 sponsors to spark community spirit among kids; the Christmas parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 13+ families are invited to join the holiday celebrations. WBRZ

- ➤ Baton Rouge’s traditional Festival of Lights is underway today at Town Square at Galvez Plaza, where crews set up a stage & ice rink while vendors prepare live music, food, and Christmas caroling to spark holiday cheer for thousands. WVLA
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The State Fire Marshal’s Office warns Baton Rouge residents to install working smoke alarms and use space heaters safely as cold weather sets in. The message notes that Operation Save a Life offers free alarms through local fire departments & advises families to set up escape plans. WVLA

- ➤ LSU retained its defensive staff after Defensive Coordinator Blake Baker returned + the school is preparing to hire defensive line coach Elijah Robinson from Syracuse.
