- ➤ The Epic Connect hosted its Grinchmas Christmas Giveaway last Sunday at Anna T. Jordan Community Park, where families enjoyed food, live music, free toys, an animal exhibit, free coats, photos with Santa and the Grinch, 50 crockpots for families, and a raffle sleepover for up to 10 kids. WBRZ

- ➤ The Southern University Human Jukebox Marching Band earned ESPN Band of the Year on Dec. 14, 2025. Directed by Kedric Taylor — the band was chosen as the top finalist among groups from Florida A&M, Miles College, and Fayetteville State. WVLA
