- ➤ A Thursday evening crash in Central near Lovett Road sent three people to a local hospital after a grey Honda crossed the center and hit a white SUV that flipped into a ditch—police took toxicology samples from both drivers as the investigation continues. WVLA

- ➤ On March 29, voters in St. George cast ballots for mayor, police chief and city council seats, and incumbent mayor Dustin Yates won with 11,472 votes while contests in District 2 and District 4 saw incumbent Steve 'Chili' Monachello and Patricia 'Patty' Cook keep their seats along with other council members including Todd Morris, Richie Edmonds, Max Himmel and new winner J. Andrew Murrell—withdrawals affected some races. WVLA
- ➤ Louisiana voters rejected four state constitutional amendments on Saturday that would have changed courts, state finances, teacher pay and juvenile crime laws — the proposals received less than 40% support statewide — and Gov. Jeff Landry, who had campaigned for the changes, said he remains determined to push for reform. The Advocate
