- ➤ The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Malcolm Jackson, 53, of Plaquemine on Aug. 1 for multiple drug charges including intent to distribute cocaine, crack, hydrocodone and Xanax—he had his sentence reduced on Jan. 17 by a former President and shortly returned to drug activity. WVLA

- ➤ Residents and visitors can explore the new Baton Rouge Film Trail along more than 100 filming locations using the SetJetters app. A ribbon-cutting and plaque unveiling will occur at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 21 at Manship Theatre—kicking off the Underground Film Festival that showcases local film makers.
